Hi, So the Rabbit/s and Piggies you find on this page have come in with mild or complex medical needs.
Some will be able to be adopted,
So if you have a Rabbit with Snuffles, you may find a Rabbit on this page that also suffers Snuffles so could be adopted to bond with your Rabbit.
EC buns (Encephalitozoon Cuniculi) Again if you have an EC bun you could adopt a Bunny with EC.
Bunnies with certain medical issues can not ever be bonded to a 'healthy Rabbit'
This does not mean all medical needs bunnies are unhealthy.
If I have bonded pairs of bunnies on here again they could possibly be adopted to the right homes. Please do your research before making any enquiries about these Rabbits. Knowledgable homes will only be considered. Never first time Rabbit owners.
Clover and her 5 kitts. Moongazer, Celeste, Cosmo, Elara and Callisto.
There was a baby number 6 Twinkle who sadly didn't make it.
Clover got signed over to me as her babies are all showing signs of EC. They are now 4 weeks old and doing amazing.
Elara (enjoying her greens in the photo) had quite a bad head tilt and all of them would have episodes of rolling. They have been with me about a week and a half (21/2/2021) and are doing amazing. Their treatment has caused a bit of tummy upsets but nothing too major. They still need another 2 weeks of worming and they will have completed their course of medication. Im hopeful these precious ones will make it.
Little Celeste is the smallest (red dot on ear in photo) so she is the one im a little worried about. the other 4 are very chunky and lively.
It looks like there are 4 does and 1 Buck. Clover will be a carrier of EC so i might have a santuary for her to go to where she can be bonded. And hopefully a couple of her kitts can go with her. Im more than happy for the others to stay with me.
If they do well, I will consider adoption to bond with another EC bun.
*** Sorry very late update.
Sadly all of the kitts passed away except Celeste (Cece). Some of you would have seen her regular updates on the facebook group. She is still living with me, and has run of the kitchen and a big pen in the garden. She is a spoilt madam and now 5 months old. Cece will be booked in to be spayed soon. She is doing se well and is a very healthy little lady. Clover her mum went off to Rabbit Burrows Haven and is bonded to a gorgeous EC buck, they are very happy.
Welcome into rescue Diamond and her Daughter Saphire.
Sadly these 2 were kept as therapy pets but not cared for properly. An amazing lady that went to work at the hospital put her foot down and managed to get them handed over to Rescue.
Diamond went to see the vet first as she had a sore hock and was a bit sore and dirty down below, although she is doing amazing she is very overweight and I believe old or Arthritic. She doesn't move around much which wouldn't of helped the soreness down below. She also can not reach to clean herself. Since being in rescue I have also discovered she has snuffles. She is almost finished her medication so if the discharge does not clear up I will have a swab done to be sure.
Sapphire is in great health just a little over weight.
Due to Diamonds health issues anyone that would be wiling to give these 2 a forever home will need to be aware of all of this. She is not a difficult bunny to care for due to her health issues, she actually is a Diamond.
Diamond and Sapphire must stay together. They must be kept in a very clean and dry environment . These 2 are big bunnies. Diamond is a Conti Cross, currently weighing 4.85kg and Sapphire is a big lop cross. Both very sweet girls.
If you can offer these girls a spacious forever home please do get in touch. x
